1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the PROVISION OF EQUIPMENT RENTAL service of fully operated and serviced For the (Cranes, Flatbed Trucks, Forklifts, Tow/Recovery Trucks, Basket crane arm for trimming the trees, and Accessories) at it’s two compounds in Baghdad, UNAMI Green zone and UNFSB/BIAP. in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, scope of works, general conditions and other related documents. 2.0 -Successful Vendor shall providethe equipment (Cranes, Flatbed Trucks, Forklifts, Tow/Recovery Trucks, Basket crane arm for trimming the trees, and Accessories) with the qualified operator(s) who must have minimum of Three (3) years experience for each type of vehicle. Each equipment shall have sufficient number of helpers as required. -UNAMI may choose to award split contracts for each type of service to each companies should that the favourable to UNAMI. 3.0 TIME FRAME: UNAMI intends to award Contract for an initial period of one year with the option to extend for additional two years, one year at a time subject to satisfactory performance of the contractor, continuation of mission mandates and availability of funds. 4.0 The service shall be executed by the qualified and experienced companies who meet the requirement based on the Scope of work (SOW), Tender Documents, Specifications, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents that will be provided by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interests and respond to this EOI by submitting a duly filled, signed and sealed "Vendor Response Form." 5.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly, would issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to those companies who express their interest and meet initial screening criteria as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies should complete a UNGM Registration at Level 1 or above to be considered further. 6.0 Important Requirement: The successful bidder shall understand, accept and confirm that they: -The requirement of equipment will be hired on “as-and-when required” basis. -The expected required equipment are (15-20 Tons Fork-lift, 20 – 50 Tons Crane, 50-100 Tons Crane, Flatbed Truck, 4.8 – 12 Tons Tow/Recovery Truck, and 10-15m Basket crane arm for trimming the trees). - have the capability to provide requested equipment within 24 hoursfrom receiving the work order - have the qualified operators and required labours with a minimum of three (3) years experience in operating each class (type) of equipment - (the companies) have obtained necessary licensing and registration formalities with the Government of Iraq to operate in Baghdad Green Zone and Baghdad international Airport (BIAP) that is required to sucessfully perform UNAMI's task - (the companies) have a minimum of 3 years experience in similar work - shall provide a list of equipment to be available for UNAMI's work - confirm that no quipment shall be more than ten years old - must provide the Quality Control Plan - provide a list of similar works completed in the last five years emphasizing dealing with UN Agencies - meet all other provisions of safety aspects includiing equipment as well as first aid in the each equipment - Insurance. The Contractor will be required to have the following insurances coverage: • Commercial general insurance • Professional liability insurance • Property all risk insurance • Workman’s compensation and employer’s liability insurance - submit a list of all necessary accessories required to perform the work of UNAMI 7.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for the Tender document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline without citing any reason. UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline. 5.0 Mandatory Criteria: - The proposer shall submit a valid Business License/ Registration - The proposer shall have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in providing equipment rental of Crane, Forklift, Flatbed and Recovery Truck, or similar service. - The proposer shall provide list of all safety devices* (Safety devices should include, but not be limited to, firefighting equipment, First Aid Kit, safety boots, hand gloves, masks, coveralls, goggles, helmet and ear protector) and first aid in all rental equipment. - Availability of suitable Operators (Driving licenses or Business certificates). - During the bidding and when receiving the RFQ documents, The proposer Must submit of the below signed and filled forms: • ETSU 0015_Service Provider Evaluation Form as per Appendix-1 • ETSU 0042_Environmental Commitment Form as per Appendix-2 -The proposer shall have a minimum of three(3) years of experience in operating each class (type) of equipment 6.0 PRE-QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: i.
