Calcium hypochlorite
General Description:
Calcium hypochlorite (stable bleaching powder) in form of granules or powder (or 7g briquettes), supplied in 40 or 45 kg drums.

Technical specifications:
Calcium hypochlorite (stable bleaching powder) of “HTH” equivalent quality in granular or powder (or on request in 7g briquettes/compressed pastille) form, in 40 or 45 kg drums for sea shipment only.
Standard is granular or powder form.
Available chlorine: Minimum 67% at time of packing.
(General quality definition: Minimum 70% at time of packing, defined as 68% average Chlorine available level and 65% Chlorine available guaranteed.)
Moisture content: Maximum 10% for Transport UN number 2880 (5.5-10% for hydrated mixture), or inferior to 5.5% as per UN Number 1748 for dry Calcium Hypochlorite (or for Briquettes 7g).
Hydrated mixture is standard supply.
Particle size: 0.5mm. minimum 99.5% according to British Standard Specifications.
Stability: does not lose more than 1/15th of available chlorine on heating at 100°C +/-2°C for two hours.
General appearance: dry, free flowing, low dusting, consistent white granules (or powder) and without hard lumps or impurities.
Shelf life:
Generally 2 years, depending on storage conditions

In max. 45 kg polyethylene drums of export quality, with a lid and closure device to form an air tight seal to the drum. Suitably marked with hazardous goods ref.
SPECIAL NOTES:
1) The unit of the item should be read as bottle of 1 Littre and not per Kg. Submission of Certificate of Analysis, please specify that Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Certificate of Origin (COO) and Packing list of the imported products are MANDATORY. LITB received without these documents will not be considered as acceptable.
2) Bids will be evaluated based on reviewing of the samples as per UNICEF standard quality, durability, packing. Based on the acceptability of the product, successful bidders will be selected as per the minimum delivery lead time and lowest price.
3) Delivery lead time means total time required to make the goods readily available at the Supplier’s premises (Ex-Works) from the date of issue of Purchase Order; and transportation/ delivery after receiving Certificate of Inspection from UNICEF’s Inspection Agency (Delivery At Place).
4) The bidders are requested to provide genuine, specified branded product which is acceptable subject to pre-delivery and/ or post-delivery inspection.
5) Supplier must mention "realistic delivery time i.e. number of days require for delivery including time for formal pre-delivery inspection.

6) Outer carton of the items should be waterproof 7 ply laminated carton (each ply of 1200 - 1300gsm). Prior approval is required.
7) Price of item include cost of transportation, risk involved during transit for Delivery At Place (DAP). Delivery upto District level
