Description

Goal and Objective:  Under the general supervision of the Adolescent Development Specialist (Education and Adolescent Development) in close collaboration with the Department of Basic Education (Chief Director of Mathematics, Science & Technology), and with the guidance of the Chief of Education (UNICEF) the appointed service provider will ensure attainment of gender equality through an increase of the uptake of STEM careers by young people from disadvantaged communities.

Deliverables

5000 girls placed for job shadowing, 500 companies recruited, 200 trained mentors, 5,000 learners receive career guidance and coaching lessons, Three holiday camps hosted annually, 2,500 young people Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) recruited, to participate in a basic computer literacy course, 2,500 young people complete their Vision Board and Personal Development Plan, 2,000 Grades 8 to 12 girls to participate in Girls in STEM camps, 50 girls receive drone licences.
