Construction of Wool Collection Hub
The government of Jordan, particularly the Ministry of Environment through the Badia Restoration Program, recognized the importance of establishing a well-designed, suitably located and equipped wool collection and processing hub to serve as a permanent location for livestock owners at Badia region to use for the wool collection and marketing of their products while enhancing the environmental management of this process. Accordingly, the government has provided a piece of land of 20,000 m2 area to be used for the construction of steel hangar (1000 m2) and yards to be used by the relevant cooperatives assigned by the UNDP to provide the needed infrastructure for this intervention. UNDP under this project will be seeking a qualified engineering construction company to implement the construction works in accordance with the designs under the supervision of engineering consultancy firm and the UNDP and end-user engineering teams.
