RFP-2022-107 Local “Fast-Track Cities” Consultant

This RFQ aims to select a local suitable “Fast-Track Cities” (FTC) Consultant to carry out tasks that contribute to the execution of UNAIDS’ mandate in Brazil for 12 months, starting on 01 October 2022 until 30 September 2023. In line with the Global AIDS Strategy (2021-2026), the FTC Consultant will technically support the UCO/BRA in the FTC initiative in Brazil, supporting municipalities to achieve the Global AIDS Strategy and fulfil the commitments of the Paris Declaration.
The FTC Consultant will be hired locally. Applicants for this role must possess valid Brazilian work authorization.
In active collaboration with the UCO/BRA’s staff members, the FTC Consultant will perform the following activities:
1. Technically support the multiple stakeholders on matters of Fast-Track Cities to achieve the Paris Declaration targets in Brazil;
2. Assist in the UNAIDS Joint Team and other partners on matters of the Fast-Track Cities and Paris Declaration;
3. Technically support the country office in the World AIDS Day;
4. Provide technical support on HIV combination prevention, education in human rights and zero discrimination to young people in the FTC Brazilian cities;
5. Assist in public health management processes and the civil society to strengthen the prophylaxis pre-exposition (PrEP) to HIV in the FTC Brazilian cities;
6. Write brief reports, minutes, drafts, as required for meetings and other demands of the country office;
7. Contribute to day-to-day activities in the country office, particularly of the programmatic area.
