The United Nations World Food Programme hereinafter referred to as the “WFP”, with its Headquarters located in Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.
The WFP Administration and Travel Branch seeks to purchase Private and Official vehicle insurance services and related:
• Private
o Vehicle transfer of ownership
o Vehicle ownership information PRA
o Update of vehicle registration documents
o Driving licence renewal
o Driving licence duplicate for loss or theft
o Car registration renewal
o Ownership tax payment
o Power of attorney to sell
o Declaration of loss of possession
o Reservation and MCTC technical testing assistance
o Assistance on vehicle overhaul by law
o Vehicle historical information
o Declaration of regain possession
o Cancellation from the public register
o Motorbike registration
• Official - Upon request, the vehicle agency also needs to have the capacity to carry out the following tasks on behalf of the Organization:
o After receiving the relevant documents from the Protocol Office, the vehicle agency needs to be able to follow up with the appropriate offices of the Motor Department to collect the relevant authorizations to register the vehicles of entitled staff members’ with Italian or CD diplomatic plates on a weekly basis.
o After receiving the proper documents and lists from the Protocol Office, the vehicle agency needs to be able to follow up with the ACI/Regione Lazio/Agenzia delle Entrate to obtain the cancellation of road-tax undue payment requests erroneously received by WFP staff members entitled to the road-tax exemption. Upon request, the vehicle agency might be asked to run reports of the status of exemptions in the ACI/Regione Lazio databases for WFP entitled staff members.
o Upon request and upon receiving the proper documentation from the Protocol Office, the agency needs to follow up with the Italian Customs authorities on the inspection of duty-free imported vehicles on the necessary requirements and relevant appointments. Upon request, the agency can also be asked to provide technical assistance on-site during the inspection.
