Description
1.0 INTRODUCTION:
1.1 UNAMI seeks to engage the services of a qualified supplier in the country of Iraq for the provision of unrestricted cellular Voice and Data services( GSM/GPRS/UMTS).
1.2 UNAMI intends to award a contract for 1 year for the provision of GSM and DATA internet services, with the option of extension for additional 4 years, one year-at-a time [1+(1x4 Optional)] at UNAMI’s discretion. The duration of the contract shall always be subject to the continuation of the UNAMI mandate in Iraq, the availability of funds, and the satisfactory performance of the Service Provider.
2.0 TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
2.1 GSM Coverage
UNAMI requires at least 90% coverage of urban areas and roads with GSM signal. Vendor is to provide coverage map.
2.2 Data /GPRS coverage
UNAMI requires at least 85% coverage of urban areas and roads with Data GPRS signal. Vendor is to provide coverage map.
2.3 Closed Group services (CUG Services)
UNAMI requires that all voice calls within Closed Group (Numbers issued to UNAMI) are free of charge.
2.4 Roaming Services
Roaming for all contracted services is mandatory in Mission area countries (Kuwait, Jordan) and Italy, Spain, Switzerland.
Rest of the world is grouped in following way:
-MENA region and Africa
-USA, Canada, central and South America
-European countries
-Asia, Australia, New Zeeland and Oceania
For roaming services within mission area vendor have to submit name of the company with which they have established roaming contract.
2.5 International and Roaming Services
The vendor must provide access to International and roaming calls as separate services that can be activated or deactivated free of charge on subscriber per subscriber basis, with a written request from UNAMI
3.0 The service should be executed by a qualified and experienced company, based on Scope of work (SOW), Specifications, Plans, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided later on by UNAMI to qualified companies who express their interest and respond to this EOI. For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly.
4.0 Please note on the following:
a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of an offer.
b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document.
c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI's received after the above deadline.
