Description
UNECA hereby seeks suitable vendors that have valid license and experience to express their interest in order to give service for UNECA Library, Information Management & Services for a Serials Vendor/ Subscription Agent to manage the library’s journal and magazine subscriptions for 2013, 2014 & 2015.The services required to provide UNECA Library users with the print and online serials necessary to do their research in their work for the Commission :
Detailed requirements will be indicted in the solicitation document that will be issued to short listed vendors.Only pre-qualified firms may be invited to the tender by a “Request for Proposal” (RFP). This tender envisages selection of a single firm to undertake the contract.
Please note that the UNECA is precluded from entering into a contract with a firm that is not fully registered with UNECA. Those interested in responding to this invitation but not currently fully registered as vendors with UNECA, are encouraged to register. Registration could be done online and “Vendor Response Form” could be downloaded from www.uneca.org/procurement or similar documents could also be collected from the UNECA, General Services Section, 2nd floor, Room no. 2N11. In order to be eligible for UN Registration, please make sure to declare in writing the Prerequisite for Eligibility criteria itemized from A-E as contained in EOI instruction attached.
Those interested should write to the above-mentioned e-mail address or fax number to submit their “expression of interest” with a proof of their valid registration (license). Some of the short listing criteria will be made based on the following criteria. These criteria will serve only for shortlisting and more detailed criteria will be sent to the shortlisted vendors along with the RFP document.
1) Vendor corporate profile: proof of financial stability, international services and clients, and demonstration of sound business practices, expertise of the company's personnel.
2) Ability to provide access to electronic versions of all periodicals supplied, whenever electronic version exists.
3) Demonstrated functionality of a web-based subscription management tool.
