PROVISION OF UNITED NATIONS BLUE FIELD CAPS

The United Nations is seeking bids from qualified vendors to establish a global system contract for the provision of United Nations Blue Field Caps. This same Expression of Interest was posted last year, Ref: EOIMG18265. If you replied to that EOI, there is no need to reply to this one. This is uniform headdress will be worn by United Nations military and police personnel with peacekeeping missions and special political missions; an identifying symbol, providing an element of sun protection, and worn where the security environment does not warrant the use of helmets and where berets are considered unsuitable. Cap purchasing will be mostly centralised with the United Nations Global Service Center (UNGSC) in Brindisi, Italy; however, shipping and distribution may also be required direct to mission locations (https://unmissions.org/). Delivery terms for the products is within 60 calendar days FCA (port of exit) (INCOTERMS 2020), upon receiving the purchase order from the United Nations. The number of caps required is estimated at 180,000 caps per annum. Manufacturers shall have at least 5 years’ experience in the production of caps and/or clothing and embroidered products. Suppliers shall have at least 5 years’ experience in supplying similar volume and type of goods required at an international level. Both suppliers and manufacturers shall maintain an internationally recognized quality system (ISO 9001 or demonstrated equivalent) and be able to demonstrate reliable delivery performance.
