The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) invites companies to express their interest to participate in upcoming bidding exercise for the provision of explosives detection dogs (EDD) K9 services for UNAMA Compounds in Afghanistan. The Services includes but not limited to: • Access Control/Searches: UNAMA access-controlled areas, pedestrians, vehicles, containers, cargo, luggage, personal carried items entering UN premises for explosive, open area, building and warehouse searches, VIP support at the direction of UN Integrated Security Guard Force security officers. • Daily Patrols: In coordination with UN Integrated Security, EDD teams will conduct random daily patrols of UN compounds, for the purpose of providing a deterrent effect and conducting searches. • Exercise/Drills: Participate in the planning and execution of UN Compounds incident response exercises and drills. • First Aid: The bidder shall ensure that all personnel that will perform the tasks related to this contract are trained in first-aid including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). • Equipment: The bidder shall ensure that K9 handlers have all neccesary appropriate and required equipment to perform the required services.
