Description
The United Nations is looking for qualified companies who have proven records of developing and delivering effective information technology training programmes targeted to both technical and non-technical staff. In addition to delivering standard programmes in software applications, the vendor must also have the resources to conduct needs assessments and pre-assessments, customize training delivery and materials based on the UN environment and informed by the assessments, and design learning programmes aimed at improving job performance. We are particularly interested in setting up workshops focused on solving on-the-job problems and led by well-experienced facilitators. Instructor-led courses on UN standard applications which should include, but not limited to: 1. End-user courses i) Lotus Notes email, calendar and scheduling ii) Microsoft courses (up to three levels when applicable) (1) Windows XP and 7 (2) MS-Word (3) MS-Excel (4) MS-PowerPoint (5) MS-Access (6) MS-Project (7) Visio iii) Graphic design and website development courses (up to three levels when applicable) (1) HTML (2) Dreamweaver CS5.5 (3) Illustrator CS5.5 (4) InDesign CS5.5 (5) Photoshop CS5.5 iv) “How To…” workshops on specific topics of interest from the above list (1 and ½ hours) 2. Technical focal point courses i) Windows XP and 7 Support and Troubleshooting ii) Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) iii) Business Objects (BO) iv) IT security principles Vendors will be able to bid for 1 or 2, or both. Classes are to be held at the United Nations premises in New York. The target audience of end-user training programmes is about 7,000 New York staff members, who all have access to the organization’s Lotus Notes email system, Windows XP or 7 operating system, Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office. The technical focal points are IT specialists in different departments of the United Nations who provide IT support to end-users and develop IT applications..
