Rehabilitation of Wash Facilities in Rambosy, Sinjar, Ninewa Governorate, Iraq
* The main scope of work is to rehabilitate WASH facilities in Rambosy, Sinjar. A detailed description of the items of work, which will be implemented under this project, is laid down in the attached Bill of Quantities. The assessment, scope of work and specification documents of this project were prepared by UN-Habitat engineers.
* The works of this project will be implemented under the following rules:
• The activities will be directly implemented by UN-Habitat using contracted service provider.
• The Contractor shall prepare and submit time frame with action plan to implement all the activities within the specified period in collaboration with UN-Habitat team.
• The quantity of each item may be increased or decreased as per instruction of UN-Habitat technical team based on the needs on the site provided that the total value of the contract will not be increased.
• The awarded contractor is not entitled for any additional cost or compensation against omission of any item of works.
• The awarded contractor is strongly encouraged to recruit community members from neighborhood of Rambosy, Sinjar as their laborers.
• The completed work will be delivered to the beneficiary following inspection and approval by UN-Habitat engineer.
*The works consists of rehabilitation of an existing potable water well, construction of a single-story pump room, provision of a 30 m3 elevated cylindrical GI potable water tank and construction of an RCC / block work tank foundation. The works include:
- Obtaining all legal work permits before and after completion of the works.
- Handing over the completed units to UN Habitat and to the concerned beneficiary and possibly to an appointed local authority.
