Description

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organising a consultants’ meeting on harmonisation of dose measurement reporting for 2D dose distribution in dosimetry audits in radiotherapy during the week of 29 November – 3 December 2021. The purpose of the meeting is to develop guidelines on dose measurement reporting for 2D dose distribution using film measurements in radiotherapy dosimetry audits. Dose measurement reporting in 2D dosimetry and, particularly, dose distribution comparisons using gamma index for film measurements, strongly depends on the hardware and software used for film scanning and processing, in addition to the measurement protocol used.

The IAEA would like to invite technical specialists from the industry to give the IAEA and invited experts a 30-minute presentation on technical aspects of film dosimetry and 2D dose distribution analysis software with emphasis on gamma analysis. The presentation will be followed by a 30-minute Q&A session to discuss only technical (non-commercial) matters of interest pertinent to the meeting objectives.

The meeting will be conducted virtually. Any and all costs and expenses incurred in relation to, your company’s participation will exclusively be borne by your company. Your participation will not cause entitlement to claim for financial compensation of any kind whatsoever. This invitation is to present and discuss technical matters only and does not constitute any opinion of the IAEA upon the quality of your company’s products and services. All relevant vendors will be given equal opportunities to present their products in terms of the scope of the presentation and the time dedicated.

This invitation does not entail any commitment on the part of the IAEA, either financial or otherwise, and your participation will be regarded as an information provided by your company and not as an acceptance of your company of an offer made by the IAEA. This invitation does not entail that your company will be approached by the IAEA in any ensuing procurement action or for a potential contract or otherwise.
