Hereunder is our RFI/RFCA: Yes, as described in the Instructions to Bidders, in Returnable Bid Schedule 6 – Project Team and Organisational Structure, Bidders must include a recent CV which demonstrates compliance with the minimum and additional experience requirements1. Will the existing scaffolding be removed, if not who is responsible for it. is there any equipments or other items on the site and who is responsible for this.A: The existing scaffolding can be used by the incoming Contractor considering that these are now in place but requires investigation in terms of safety and should be reinforced as necessary.  Removal and cleanup is the Contractor’s (GC) responsibility.2. Has a Half-Cell potential testing been done to asses the conditions of the concrete encased rebar?, any assesments done on the existing condition of the structure. Should any compromised structural items be encountered during work who is responsible for the repairs and additional expenses.A: Half-cell testing to assess the concrete encased rebar hasn’t been done and may not be necessary.  However, if repairs and additional expenses are encountered, a contract variation process will follow.3. Is it the responsibilty of the GC to conduct testing on the existing consitions. A: The Contractor is not required to conduct testing on existing conditions or works already done. But for works still to be done, QC tests are the Contractor's responsibility. QC tests performed previously are available.4. Is it the responsibility of the GC to furnish site security personal or will the UN maintain this.A: The Contractor (GC) takes full responsibility for the safety and security of the project site, once the Notice to Proceed has been Issued and the project site is handed over to the Contractor.5. For those bid in dollars, we'll use the UN exchange rate of the month of evaluation, for a fair price comparison, for your information, UN exchange rate in September is 1 dollar=49.82 Philippine Peso.

For Schedule of Windows -3 :      The stainless steel tube frame is 150 x 250mm x 1.6mm ,hairline finish  Query: Please nominate a local supplier of this material.              If this is cladded - please give us more details.UNOPS can’t nominate a local supplier.  Hairline finish is a common finish in stainless steel. It’s a  long, continuous and uni-directional grind marks parallel to the longitude of the panel. This finish is suitable for both interior and exterior products, as well as panels, ornaments and perimeters.
