RFP-PFP-111161 – RFP for the development, sourcing and manufacture of UNICEF’s Gifts Collection – Lifestyle Products
UNICEF Private Fundraising and Partnerships has launched a Request for Proposals to seek a strategic partner to develop, source and manufacture product ranges for its annual Sales Collection – Lifestyle Products. The partner must be able to meet the following minimum requirements:
§ Product development and sourcing specialist.
§ Capabilities in developing, customizing and sourcing multiple product ranges within different categories of goods. N.B. We are not looking for companies that can supply products in one category only. Categories of products should include, as a minimum:
o Stationery / office use (including festive)
o Apparel
o Fashion Accessories
o Back to school
o Outdoor
o Home
§ Multinational company offering end-to-end solution covering the full range of services including, but not limited to, market trends evaluation, concept development, product sourcing, specification writing, artwork execution, quality control, manufacturing.
§ Adherence to UNICEF’s strict CSR and QA standards and ability to provide proof of quality assurance accreditation.
§ Proven ability to:
ü source products from a wide supply base, not necessarily limited to China, including potentially from own manufacturing sites.
ü develop product designs against a brief or using own in-house design team;
ü provide market trends and consumer information in relation to the specific product category of the RFP;
ü design and manufacture primary and secondary packaging that promotes and protects the product for both the Direct Marketing (catalogue) and Retail channels;
ü source or manufacture finished and fully packaged products designed as a result of the brief.
Suppliers that wish to respond to the RFP must be able to show evidence of:
Extensive experience in the form of case studies covering the full scope of services of the RFP including having successfully developed and implemented multiple projects for other international clients/global brands for a variety of sales channels.
For third-party manufacturers, the selected partner should act as a Tier 1 supplier to UNICEF.
