Description

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

 

Developing an Education Management Information System (EMIS) for Yemen, in liaison with the Ministry of Education, and other implementing partners. This work will contribute to enhancing access and delivery of quality education, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4. The contractor is expected to:

  1. Support UNESCO in the organisation of the Steering Committee and Technical Working Group meetings;
  2. Customise and/or develop an EMIS software application;
  3. Build capacities of ministry team in charge of administering the EMIS (e.g. IT and planning staff);
  4. Build capacities of end users at the Ministry of Education Headquarters, in 50 pilot schools and at governorate level;
  5. Pilot the EMIS software in 50 pilot schools in all governorates.

 

The assignment is set to start in July 2021 and run until December 2021.

 

The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation Documents.

 

Interested companies who wish to participate in the OIC must request for a complete set of Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO contact person at the address shown below.

 

The offer comprising of technical proposal and financial proposal, must be submitted via email (in two separate PDF files) to procurement.bei@unesco.org, and should reach the abovementioned email address no later than 20 June 2021 (23h00 Beirut time) without any copy to any other e-mail addresses. Offers addressed at any other e-mail accounts will be disqualified.

 

UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process. Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and submission of their tenders.
