New clarification added: Question No 22: TATEKAN Construction Company based in Kabul Afghanistan is interested in this project. unfortunately we missed the site visit, but TATEKAN has the qualified team who is well aware of this project in details and our Program Manager is the one who handed over this project to INL back in 2013 and has the full scope awarness. so we are much sure that we can provide the most competitve bid for this porject and TATEKAN is currently implementing one of the USACE project in Kabul Afghanistan. So we would like to request if possible to consider our bid without attendinng the site visit. Response: Site visit is mandatory. Failure to attend the mandatory site visit shall ender your bid invalid.

New clarification added: Question no 19: We have review the BOQ and in item No: 6.1 ( Cement-sand 1:4 Plaster, CRF) unit is CU.M, but according to our experince every where the price for plastering is in Sq.m, so can you clearfy again that this unit is CU.M or it should be Sq.m.Response: All Plastering works unit of measure should be in sq.m. Please provide your estimated cost per unit of measure in sq.m.

New clarification added: Question No 12 : Kindly reconsider the site visit date and schedule another site visit, many qualified companies could not attend the site visit. The RFP is announced on 14 and 17 was the last day of submitting site visit information. It is only three days, we would request to schedule another site visit so we can also participate in the bidding and or make the site optional than mandatory as when companies are quoting the prices and or developing the methodology you can know if they do understand the scope or not so can evaluate their competence.Response: No additional site visit.

In inmate areas, shall we consider the LED, sockets and switches as prison grade or ordinary type?Response: All the electrical materials to be used, ie: emergency surface mounted LED’s, sockets and switches must be prison grade.

New clarification added: Question 1: We have similar subcontracts more then USD 500,000 with semins in the construction of Building. is that acceptable for your team.Response: Please refer to Returnable bid Schedule 8, Under Part I, PREVIOUS SIMILAR CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE Criterion: At least one [1] Successful past performance experience; Previous experience in building construction or building rehabilitation; Minimum requirements of at least US$500,000; Experience in Afghanistan. The bidder must be a Main/lead contractor.
