Description

The United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Institute for Statistics hereby invites qualified service providers to submit sealed tenders as follows:

The service provider having a team of specialists experienced in large-scale learning assessments and bank of items is expected to conduct a study focusing on six initial African countries (from the 67 GPE countries) to collect evidence on learning and the effectiveness of measures taken to support learning during school closures – in order to:

•   Evaluate the impact of COVID on learning and to weigh the size of the learning loss and serve to report for SDG indicator 4.1.1 b

•   Identify the impact, if any, of the different distance learning mechanisms put into place to remediate the learning disruption generated by COVID

•   Expand the UIS bank of items for primary education

•   Generate a tool for generating assessment results to be scaled with respect to international benchmarks, reporting on SDG 4.1.1.b.
