RESTORATION OF BAIDOA AIRPORT RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY IN BAIDOA , SOMALIA (RT)

The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS) seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from competent and qualified companies for the RESTORATION OF BAIDOA AIRPORT RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY IN BAIDOA , SOMALIA UNSOS is planning to put in place a 1-year contract for the subject requirement. The successful Contractor's responsibilities shall be to provide the following services in Baidoa Airport in Baidoa, Somalia: i. Identify/define/confirm within a 30-day period after award of the Project to the successful Vendor the most suitable but economical/cost effective measures in accordance with internationally accepted standard(s) for the restoration of the existing runway including the taxiway close to its original condition that will ensure safety of air operations through the conduct of a detailed technical assessment/investigation. ii. Establish a comprehensive work programme, which is duly coordinated with local civil aviation authority and duly approved by UNSOS prior to the commencement of the main ground works that would allow continuous and safe air operations on the runway and taxiway during the implementation phase(s) of the restoration project. iii. Complete the entire restoration works within a period of 12 months from the date of award of contract to the successful Vendor For this requirement, UNSOS will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and considers inviting those companies which will have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNSOS’s requirement.
