Should bidders explicitly include the cost of these tool kits in our financial proposals to ensure the trainers are fully operational for students upon delivery, or should they be excluded from the core financial offer?Response:For the basic tool set as long as “optional” is mentioned it is not mandatory but recommended.Question: As long as you accept external bidders outside Egypt. New clarification added: Question: 1) So importing and customs clearance will be done under the UNOPS name in Egypt ?Response:Custom clearance will be done by the beneficiary.Question: 2) We are distributors of many TVET vendors but those vendors have no local representatives in Egypt. So would you accept shipping you the items and full process of customs clearance to be done under your name?Response:The custom clearance will be made by the beneficiary.If the bidder or manufacturer is not based in Egypt, they must absolutely have a local representative with the capacity to provide after-sales service (maintenance and spare parts).Question:3) Could you please confirm to us if the required ISO certificates could be provided by the bidder (not being the manufacturer of the offered simulators)?response:If you are referring to qualification criteria “3.4 Bidder's commitment to sustainability: Bidder shall provide proof the that they are in possession of a valid ISO 14001 EMS certificate or ISO45001, or similar, and/or (If no EMS certificate in place) sign the Form E Sustainability Commitment Form To be checked by UNOPS and clarified, if necessary”We are asking the bidder (not manufacturer) to provide a valid ISO 140001 EMS certificate or similar if not in possession of such certificate bidder have to sign Form E Sustainability Commitment Form

New clarification added: Question:1) Do you accept FCA or CFR incoterm?Response:Only DPU offers are acceptedQuestion:2) Do you accept external registered companies outside Egypt to participate and to be equally evaluated with local registered companies?Response:We do accept companies registered outside Egypt, and will be equally evaluated.If the bidder or manufacturer is not based in Egypt, they must absolutely have a local representative with the capacity to provide after-sales service (maintenance and spare parts).
