Description
  • UN Women is part of a Joint Program focusing on the concept of Human Security in 2 villages in Minya. UN Women component will focus on the Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA) which is basically a modified version of group savings and loans. The model will be implemented by CARE in Maghagha and Edwa Villages of El Minya forming more than 100 groups in each of these areas with around 20 women in each group. In partnership with CARE, The VSLA Model is also being implemented targeting 4000 women in Assiut and Beni Suef.
  • It is required to produce 4 documentaries as follows:
  1. Two 10 minute longitudinal documentaries which will capture the journey of 1 or 2 of the VSLA group members from the formation of the group and throughout the entire process of trainings, weekly meetings, and the projects they were able to start with the loans. The purpose of this longitudinal documentary is to capture the development of the VSLA group members along the journey and emphasize the challenges/successes they face
  2. Two short 5 minute documentaries capturing and showcasing a success story of one of the women leaders within one of the VSLA groups
  • UN Women, In partnership with Misr el Kheir is transferring assets as well as providing  BDS to 2000 woman in Beni Suef, Menia and Assiut. This project is still in the initiation stage. Focusing on one governorate,
  • It is required to produce 1 documentary as follows:

Approx. 10 minutes longitudinal documentary capturing the whole asset transfer process, starting with the selection of women, training, and finally the asset transfer and how they are running the project.

  • UN Women, in partnership with the SFD will be providing financial and non financial services to around 1000 women in Sharkeyya and Beheira. Focusing on one governorate,
  • It is required to produce 1 documentary as follows:

A 5 minutes documentary interviewing a couple of successful women entrepreneurs who benefited from this project and measure how the project has managed to change their lives.

  • UN Women in Partnership with The Coca Cola Company is working on an asset transfer modality where 250 kiosks will be established and run by poor women in 4 governorates. Another 1000 home based outlets will be established through the lifetime of the project (until end of 2015).
  • It is required to produce 2 documentaries as follows:

One 10 minute documentary showing the asset transfer, training and how the women receive those and operate at a later stage

One 5 minute documentary showcasing 2 success stories (1 kiosk, 1 home based outlet)

  • UN Women in partnership with the SFD is implementing “One Village One Product” project in 2 governorates. The project aims to support women led clusters.
  • It is required to produce 1 documentary as follows:

One 5 minute documentary the purpose of such will be to visually capture the project’s impact on the women’s livelihoods. It is both a documentation tool as well as a visibility tool
