Description

The consultancy is expected to achieve the following objectives:
1. Map and analyse the existing education and training services, curricula, and systems related to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) at the national level. This includes evaluating their effectiveness and accessibility for all relevant trainees.
The assessment should cover:
• Available international and local certifications
• Professional private and public training service centres
• Postgraduate programs offered by universities
• Relevant private and public technical education institutions
• Governmental training centres
• In-house training programs provided by firms
2. Evaluate the training curricula implemented at Siemens, Orascom, and Arab Contractors' facilities to identify gaps and propose improvements. This analysis should be aligned with the ILO Construction Code of Practice as well as applicable national laws and regulations.
The assessments should take into account livelihood challenges posed by climate change, including heat stress. Additionally, they should carefully consider gender dynamics and the specific needs of vulnerable groups, ensuring that these aspects are effectively integrated into OSH training and education within the sector.
