Description
The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) wishes to establish a contract for the Provision of Electrical/Energy meters (kWatt/hour) with different sizes and specifications, to be delivered to DAP MONUSCO Entebbe Support Base, Uganda. This is aimed at monitoring, controlling and conserving energy within the organization’s various facilities. The typical electrical/energy metering system desired shall involve; metering the energy consumption for data collection, analyzing data to identify areas/opportunities of energy efficiency, taking action by implementing the opportunities identified and then tracking progress by analyzing the subsequent meter data to see how well the implemented energy efficiency efforts have worked. The main objective of this metering system is to have electrical/energy meters which record and analyze the facility’s power utilization and providing a platform to identify areas to be improved or where energy is lost. Specific objectives of the electrical/energy metering system will be to: a) Facilitate continuous energy management and increased operational efficiency. b) Enable the organization to reduce facility energy use. c) Streamline utility payment and accounting, generating labor cost savings. d) Perform facility, and system-level energy performance analysis. e) Track the impact of energy efficiency projects, measure, and verify project cost savings. f) Track and manage peak demand. g) Produce reports for energy and utility management, operations, and maintenance. REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 1. The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from duly registered and licensed companies for the Supply of Electrical Meters (KWatt/ hour) to MONUSCO, DAP (Delivered at Place) Entebbe, Uganda. 2. MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and accordingly, intends to issue an invitation to a solicitation to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration preferably for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on www.ungm.org 3. The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience. Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are able to meet the requirement. Interested vendors must provide the following documents with their response: - Copy of the registration certificate / license(s) of the company 4. Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation to submit bids 5. MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the solicitation documents. La MONUSCO se réserve le droit de sélectionner les entreprises qui prendront part à l’appel d’offres sur la base d’évaluations d’informations fournies.
