New clarification added: Question:In the bill of quantities / division 9 - finishes / item NO.G (Anti acid painting for laboratories wall up to 1.80 m high), please clarify the type of acids that the painting will be subjected in order that there are many types of anti acid paintings depending upon the type of acids, also please confirm is the anti acid painting is epoxy paint?UNOPS Answer:Kindly note that the type of acids are Hydraulic, and Formic acids.

New amendment added #4: Please note that Amendment 4 consists of 2 clauses as mentioned below. This document is considered an integral part of this ITB.Clause 1: The Amended Annex 1-1- Civil BOQ is added under the documents tab, to reflect that Div.5 from Amended Annex 1-1- Civil BOQ does not include polyethylene sheet as it is not required. Clause 2: Drawing under file name ( TD- 04 Wooden Bench) is added under the documents tab, to include detail drawings for the external plastic wooden benches. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

New clarification added: Question:Kindly note that there is a contradiction between BOQ and drawings regarding wood door's finish. BOQ calls for french oak veneer finish while dwg# mentioned walnut veneer finish, kindly advise and confirm the required finish please. UNOPS Answer:Refer to drawing No. (A-502) the door finish is walnut veneer Question:Furthermore; please specify type of wood and finish for door frame also if should be solid or veneered UNOPS Answer:Door frame should be veneered (not solid) Question:With reference to drawing # S-11 for concrete decking detail, please note that 5cm screed is required below the waterproofing membrane, in addition BOQ calls for polyurethane sheet that is not shown in section, thus please advise if we should include these works in the unit rate of this item or to be measured separately in another items.UNOPS Answer:(A310 / detail no. 1-wall section) water proofing membrane and extruded polystyrene are required as indicated and should be included in the price and polyethylene sheet is not required. Please see the revised BOQ-DIV-5 (Metal Works) without the polyethylene sheet (Amendment No.4 to be published shortly). Question:please provide detail drawings for the external plastic wooden benches. UNOPS Answer:Please see attached drawing (under Amendment No.4) to be published shortly.

New clarification added: Question:Please advise if the main distribution board it will be form 2 as indicated in the BOQ or form 4 as in the specification.UNOPS Answer:The form of the MDB is form 2 Question:As per BOQ notes regarding steel structure, please note that price of concrete topping with waterproofing membrane should be included in the price of items A & B while item C in the same page calls for that works separately (concrete deck with all related works). New clarification added: Question:Could you please arrange for a site visit again, or let us able to access the site for inspection, since as we had a problem understanding the way of getting all tender information from UNOPS site and unfortunately we missed the site visit that held on 2019-09-10 and already announced via the site. UNOPS Answer:Bidders who are interested of site inspection may send thier interest to UNOPS via clarification and UNOPS will inform the responsible person at site to arrange for this visit.

New clarification added: Question:Electromechanical works.Could you please provide approved supplier and/ or manufacturer list for all electromechanical works.UNOPS Answer:There is no specific list, as bidders must submit their offers complying with the specifications mentioned in tender.

New clarification added: Question:We were unable to attend the pre bid meeting and the site visit , is it possible to submit for the tender , knowing that we are 4th grade classified in civil construction UNOPS Answer:Bidders who did not attend the site visit / pre bid meeting can submit their offers as the visit & meeting are not mandatory. The minutes of meeting and site visit are published under the documents tab ( Amendment No.2)According to qualification criteria only contractors who have a valid registration as at least First & Second Grade Contractors at the Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and the Jordanian Construction Contractors Association, are eligible to participate in this tender.

This document is considered an integral part of this ITB.Clause 1: The new specifications for the steel fire-rated doors are added under the documents tab, file name Fire Rated Steel Doors Specifications, where the new specifications are highlighted in yellow.Clause 2: An Amended Annex 1-1- Civil BOQ is added under the documents tab, to include the change in specifications for the fire rated doors in red colour under Div.8 of this document.All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

New clarification added: Question:Div 9-Sundries- Asphalt Layer at car park: Please specify thickness and provide a more clear description. Also refer clearly to relevant drawing #. UNOPS Answer:Regarding more details for the Asphalt Layer, please note the following: Road layers: 50-80mm thick wearing course, Asphalt layers (asphalt cement, prime coat and tack coat) and aggregates. Main activity is to fix the existing. There is no detailed drawing regarding this item. Question:Aluminum doors-fire rated- AD02, AD03, AD04: Such doors are not available in Aluminum, Please clarify. UNOPS Answer:Please refer to Amendment No. 3 for this ITB, where you can find the new specifications for the steel fire-rated doors attached under the documents tab, file name Fire Rated Steel Doors Specifications Question:Please confirm number of windows that need to be re-installed after being maintained and cleaned.UNOPS Answer:Regarding the windows that need to be re-installed after being maintained and cleaned, and here we are talking mainly about the windows in the front elevation (which is the most significant), the number is 28 windows (ref. W01, W02). As stated in the BoQ and Specs, the maintenance includes the windows, their frames and related hardware, the iron protective work and all other hardware, ironmongery, and other fittings. The area of these windows that need to be fixed is 35 meter square. Question:Please advise a description and specification for new windows to be installed. UNOPS Answer:Please refer to second page of Division 8 (088000- Glazing), items A and B.
