1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Commissioning of Waste Management Equipment to UNAMI, International Zone, Baghdad, Iraq in accordance with the approved specifications, scope of work, general conditions, and other related documents . 1.1.The Purchase Order will be awarded to the bidder that clearly demonstrates through a written bid and references a high degree of experience, ability, competency and best-practice in these services and capability to execute this services for UNAMI. 1.2 The awarded Purchase Order shall provide materials, labour and equipment in the required works to successfully complete the required services as outlined in the specifications. 1.3 UNAMI needs the best quality materials available in the market with proven track records, the items must conform to ISO 9000, ASTM, EU and UK Standards. The Contractor will specify the name of Manufacturer, Specification and Country of Origin for each item. The UNAMI – Engineering Section will technically evaluate each bid, item by item. The bidder who proposes substandard material or not matching with the existing parts in the UNAMI premises will be disqualified. 2.0 The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Work (SOW), Bill of Quantities (BOQ), UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for this tender. 3.0 The requirements will include, but not limited to the following: All necessary tools, equipment, materials, personnel, supervision and other items necessary to perform the works. 4.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNGM Registration at level 1 or above. 5.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for ITB document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
