REOI/PH/2019/010: Technical and Organizational Support to PhilHealth and DOH in the Contracting of 27 Hospitals for the Z-Benefit Package for Premature and Small Newborns

The project aims to support the 27-DOH-identified hospitals providing care of the premature and small babies and PhilHealth Central and Regional Offices Accreditation and Quality Assurance (AQAS) so that the hospitals complete the requirements to be “contracted” as a provider of the Z-benefit package for premature and small babies.

Specific objectives:

1. Conduct a baseline analysis of the status of contracting of the identified hospitals
2. Provide technical assistance to the hospitals to comply with the Z-benefit package for premature and small babies Self-Assessment tool
3. Provide technical assistance to PhilHealth Regional Office AQAS and Health Care Delivery Management Division on validation of the health care institutions’ compliance with the Self-Assessment Tool
4. Document process of contracting for each hospital, including bottlenecks, solutions and come up with a manual for contracting surveyors
