Description

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (“FAO” or “Organization”) is an intergovernmental organization with more than 194 member countries. In preparing your bid, you should take into account the international status and activities of FAO by submitting your best commercial terms. You should also be aware that FAO enjoys certain privileges and immunities which include exemption from payment of Value Added Tax ("VAT" or "IVA"), customs duties and importation restrictions.

FAO intends to award a Contract for services, specifically:

“AIRCONDITIONER MAINTENANCE SERVICES - REMEDIAL AND PREVENTIVE”


You are hereby invited to submit your best offer in connection with the award of such works.


A) Periodic Service Calls

1. Perform routine preventive maintenance on all air conditioners: Ideal frequency - Quarterly, every 3 months. 1st service will be due immediately after signing the contract, if awarded;
2. Correct mal-functioning air conditioners - ensure that all air conditioners found to be mal-functioning or faulty while carrying out the 1st routine preventive maintenance service are made functional or upgraded to a functional state;
3. Respond to calls reporting technical fault or breakdown to any air conditioner listed: Ideal Response time - within 24 hours;
4. Repair mal-functioning and faulty air conditioners, as and when reported: Ideal Repair time - within 24 hours after assessment of the fault;
5. Provide a work order detailing fault and thereafter a periodic report of actual work performed on each air conditioner and completion date of service or repairs;
6. Provide technical guidance on the operation and maintenance of air conditioners and/or accessories
7. Repair faulty air-conditioner.

B) Parts Replacement

Replacement of spare parts not quoted on the Price List (Appendix B) will be done after the approval of a submitted proforma invoice is received and before actual work is carried out. Approval of a proforma invoice will be based on price competitiveness (market value).
