1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for the provision of travel of UNGU between Iraq and Fiji. The rotation of UNGU will be arranged by commercial airlines from Iraq to Nadi, Fiji and vice versa between 15 and 30 June 2010. The prospective contractor shall provide travel services and issuance of air tickets on most direct and economical air routing as follows: • Economy class air tickets for 112 passengers (23 pax per group) from Nadi to Erbil. • Economy class air tickets for 112 passengers (23 pax per group) from Erbil to Nadi. • To arrange transit visas if required at Company’s expense. • To arrange hotel accommodation for full board at transit point(s) as may be required at Company’s expense. • Transportation between airport and hotel during transit if required at Company’s expense. Note: The dates mentioned above are approximate and can be changed when actual reservations are made. Upon receipt of the routings and fare quotations, the names will be provided. Once the contract is awarded, the prospective contractor cannot increase the air fare. The contractor is required to explore the lowest air fare at the time of reservation The travelers are not allowed to travel via Australia and New Zealand due to political reason. The contractors should provide more than one options of itineraries and dates. The contractor should allow any name change, dates of travel with no additional costs. In case of ticket(s) are not utilized, there should not be any refund charge. Above mentioned number of travelers are approximate and can be changed. The contractor should also be responsible for any errors in travel dates, confirmed reservations and names. A Travel Agency representative should meet and assist at departure and transit points. 2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Requirement, UN General Conditions of contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1. IATA affiliation and minimum 5 years of experience in the travel business 2. Capacity for e-ticketing and prepaid ticketing (PTA); 3. Availability of Service/Emergency Service: 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; 4. Ticket delivery or e-ticket issuing facilities at any destination; 5. Capability to secure Visa, Hotel and Car Rental at destination; 6. Duly completed UNAMI / UNPD / UNGM Vendor Registration formalities. 7. Duly completed EOI Questionnaire. 3.0 Please note on the following: a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid. b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for ITB document. c) UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOI''s received after the above deadline
