The United Nations Secretariat Procurement Division/Global Procurement Support Section (formely Regional Procurement Office (RPO), hereby invite qualified and Competent Companies to submit their expressions of interests for the Supply and Delivery of C30- Ready Mix Concrete for Hard Surfaces and Road development at United Nations Entebbe Support Base , Uganda (UNESB). Scope of Work. Contractor shall supply,deliver and place C30 ready mix concrete at given sites. Ready mix concrete shall be manufactured in a central automated weight batching plant and transported to the site in agitating transit mixers. Concrete shall be made of the following materials: 1.Cement shall be ordinary portland grade 42.5N complying to British standards 12 or equivalent standard. Contractor shall be required to provide manufacturer's certificate of test in accordance to the standards. 2. Fine aggregate:Sand. Fine aggregate sand shall be siliceous sand of good, sharp and hard quality, strong dense ,durable, clean with uncoated grains free from sones,earth loam,salt,dust, organic matter, the maximum size of particles shall be 4.7mm. 3 Coarse aggregate. The aggregate shall be hard,durable,dense uncoated crushed rock, free from soft,friable thin or long laminated pieces, free from injurious amonuts of alkali,organic matter and other deleterious materials. Coarse shall conform to British standard 1992 or equivalent standards The Contractor shall be responsible for; providing all inputs,make arrangement required for the supply, delivery and placing of ready mix concrete, provide necessary personnel, supervision, tools, transportation, management/ administration,insurances, meet expenses in connection with the testing of concrete throghout duration of a contract.
