Description
The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) has a mandate to support the implementation of the Security Council Resolution 1701. As part of the Mission’s support programme, UNIFIL requires the following goods and/or services:
United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) intend to launch a tender for the Constructing of a Wastewater Treatment Plant in compliance with International and Local Environmental Protection and Wastewater Discharge Guidelines close to Naqoura Village in South Lebanon The required works will include the design, construction, installation of equipments and commissioning of all equipment including flow balancing, grits and grease removal system, aeration system, sludge recirculation system, sludge dewatering and disposal system, tertiary filtration system, disinfection system and related all mechanical and electrical works to deliver as a fully functional robust and reliable treatment system on a turn-key basis.
System design parameters are as follows:
• Maximum daily flow 600,000 liters per day (camp daily waste water discharge plus infiltration and inflows);
• Peak hourly flow rate is 5 times the daily wastewater flow (125,000 liter/hour)
• Influent 5 day BOD is 250 PPM;
• Influent Suspended Solids is 250 PPM;
• Water Temperature Range: 0 to 50 Degrees Celsius;
• Effluent 5 day BOD < 05 PPM;
• Effluent Suspended Solids < 05 PPM.
The Contractor will be required to connect the existing old land lifting station pumps to the lift station of proposed plant using a 4” diameter PN 16 polyethylene pipe line. The works includes all fittings and valves required for isolating the existing lift stations whenever required. The distance between the stations is about 500 m.
The expected completion period of the project is 270 calendar days from signature of the contract.
The United Nations wishes to identify companies that have the capacity to provide such goods and/or services to UNIFIL with projected troop strength of approximately 15,000.
Expressions of interest shall include: (a) Company Profile; (b) List of previously completed and current contracts including volume and value of each contract; and (c) Company’s latest Financial Statement and a Certified Audit thereof.
Interested companies shall submit such Expression of Interest and supporting documentations by hand or courier service to reach the above-mentioned address not later than close of business 03 March.
