Description
The United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) solicits Expression of Interest (EOI) from interested, registered and authorized companies to provide Arabic and English Language Courses to its staff members in Khartoum, Kadugili, Ed-Damazine, Juba, Malakal,Wau, El Obied and Abyie. The contract is expected to be for a period of one year.
SCOPE:
The aim of the language training programme is to deliver Arabic and English Language Courses to UNMIS staff members to enhance the language skill of the trainee by improving his/her communication skills in relations to the daily operations within the work place. The programme will concentrate on the basic skill of reading, writing, listening and speaking. The full Scope of Work and other details will be provided with the formal solicitation document to be issued to the selected vendors.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
The programme is envisaged to be held on a continuous basis within the premises of UNMIS Offices. Therefore, Vendors responding to this requirement should be able to provide the training in all UNMIS Regional Offices (Khartoum, Kadugili, Ed-Damazine, Juba, Malakal,Wau, El Obied and Abyie ) and should have a minimum of three (3) years experience, certified with qualified trainers to provide training in this particular field.
CONDITIONS:
Vendors interested in participating in the planned solicitation process should forward their EOI to UNMIS by fax, e-mail or hand delivery as indicated above providing the following information/documents:
The company profile including contact details (address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail, etc.);
Copies of the company’s business registration, licenses and certification in providing the stated
training;
Proof of financial strength to provide the services. To gauge your strength, Companies will be required to provide audited Financial Statements for the financial year 2007/2008 and 2008/2009.
Company’s registration number (if already registered with UN), license(s),
List of Company’s customers for the past 3 years (proof of similar services) including contact names, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses and ,
The EOI should be in English language.

It should also be noted that the UNMIS deserves the right to change or cancel this requirement at any time during the EOI/or solicitation process. Thus submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
