Description
1.The African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from fully qualified companies wishing to be considered for inclusion in a tender for the purchase, collection, removal and disposal of scrap from UNAMID areas of operation in accordance with international and/or local government on envirmental and safety measures. 2. The disposed scrap includes but is not limited to the mentioned UNSPSC items. These UNSPSC items are a representative example of similar items to be disposed of in the future. 3. Contractor service shall be on an as-and-when requested basis at the following locations: El Fasher, Nyala, Elgenina, Khartoum, Port Sudan, Zalengie, and Al-Dein and UNAMID team sites. 4. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labour, vehicles, tools, heavyduty weigh scales, heavy duty forklifts/cranes, materials, replacement parts, transportation, permits and supervision of personnel in accordance with contractural commitments. 5 The contractor shall ensure that all its personnel, equipment, facilities, materials and supplies are fully moblized by the moblization date stipulated in the contract. 6. UNAMID is seeking to engage qualified, competent and licenced companies authorised by the Government of Sudan to perform these services.Your company must possess a Sudanese business license and be authorized by the Government of Sudan to operate in Sudan. 7. Companies intrested in providing the above services are invited to submit their expression of interest by e-mail or via hand delivery as indicated below along with required documents. 8. UNAMID intends to issue a solicitation to companies who are willing and able to execute these services. 9. The EOI does not consitute a solicitation, therefore submitting a reply to this EOI does automatically guarantee that your firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Furthermore, UNAMID reserves the right to change and or cancel this requirnment at any time during the EOI an solicitation process.
