Description
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) intends to maintain the wastewater treatment and sewage system plant (WWTP) in the ESCAP premises, Bangkok Thailand. The required services include the provision of routine inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and analysis of wastewater quality for a long term agreement upto 5 years. The objective of the services is to maintain the operational efficiency of the WWTP so that the quality of wastewater discharge shall be within the standard limits for environmental regulatory requirements as issued by the Pollution Control Department (PCD), Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment. Scope of Work The vendor shall provide the followings under the service agreement: 1. Qualified technicians for servicing the wastewater treatment and sewage system plant at ESCAP compound. 2. Preventive maintenance on all main equipment and systems of the WWTP. The main systems to be maintained include the pre-treatment system, the aeration system, the clarifier and sludge transfer system, and the activated sludge (AS) system. 3. Normal service works shall be carried out during non-office hours (i.e. Weekend and Holidays: 08:00 am - 17:00 pm) of ESCAP. 4. The schedule for site visit shall at least be at least two visits per month. 5. Inspection, cleaning, adjusting and maintaining the WWTP System in ESCAP Compound. 6. Collect at least 2 samples of effluent from the WWTP on a monthly basis for analysis by a laboratory. 7. Provide advice and training to ESCAP staff for the recommended daily and routine operations and observations. 8. Supply and apply all materials and tools necessary for the proper preventive maintenance of the system, e.g. spare parts, oil, grease, paint, etc. 9. Attend monthly site meeting with the designated ESCAP supervisor. 10. Submit the monthly operational reports on the work and activities carried out within the scope of work. 11. Emergency service call or troubleshooting of wastewater system’s equipment and machines as required when a problem arises. 12. Investigate the existing systems and all other works deemed necessary to ensure that the systems are in good and safe operating condition. Should any modification be required, the contractor shall submit, in detail, a written request for approval to ESCAP supervisor prior to work execution.
