Cleaning, custodial and related services for the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) in New York

United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) will shortly be seeking qualified vendors to provide cleaning, custodial and related services for the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) in New York City. Accordingly, UNPD is requesting expressions of interest from qualified firms to provide cleaning services at both on and off-site locations in Midtown East and Long Island City. The services will be required for 15 buildings accommodating approximately 8,500 staff and with an overall area of approximately 3.2 million square feet. The contractor will primarily provide the following services: basic cleaning in office and common areas, window cleaning services, carpet cleaning and maintenance, specialist cleaning services (for special events, major conferences and emergencies), custodial maintenance, grounds maintenance, snow removal, waste collection and transportation. The services will comprise the provision of all necessary labour, equipment, materials and management to deliver the requirements of a performance-based contract. The evaluation of companies' capabilities and their suitability to provide the cleaning services will take place following the later submission of Technical and Financial proposals in response to a Request for Proposals (RFP). At RFP stage, companies are likely (at a minimum) to be expected to demonstrate/provide: 1. Experience of contracting firm A minimum of 5 years of experience in providing commercial custodial cleaning services in the Tri-State area (New York/New Jersey/Connecticut). 2. Size and reputation of contracting firm Reference details for at least three assignments for cleaning services carried out during the last 5 years in excess of 2 million square feet per assignment and for a duration of at least 3 years per assignment. 3. Total revenue for cleaning services contracts during the the last three years of at least US$25M.
