Provision of Worldwide Group Medical and 3rd Party Liability Insurance Coverage for Tribunals' C ...

The United Nations Mechanism for International Criminal Tribunals (hereinafter referred to as “UN-MICT”) has, at the present, travel, medical and dental insurance as well as third party liability insurance coverage for all potential witnesses of the UN-MICT. The UN-MICT intends to establish a contract through to 31 December 2018, with 1 additional optional extenion of 1 year, with an insurer (or insurers in case of a split award), for the provision of a comprehensive medical and third party liability insurance coverage for its witnesses and/or support persons/guests on short-term travel status to testify during court hearings and trials at the UN-MICT. Types of Insurances Required: (1) Medical insurance coverage and third party liability for witnesses/guests on short term status while in The Hague, The Netherlands, to testify during Court hearings at the UN-MICT, and (2) Medical and third party liability insurance coverage for witnesses/guests and their accompanying family members (as and when defined by the UN-MICT) awaiting permanent relocation in a third country. The coverage shall apply throughout the witnesses/guests stay in The Netherlands and up to the onward travel from The Netherlands to the final country of relocation.
