1.0 United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for Provision of an arrangement with a fuel supplier (or suppliers) for the management, transportation and provision of fuel and related services to support UNAMI Compound located in Erbil. The successful contractor will charge UNAMI the cost of fuel purchased from Erbil Fuel Distribution Directory plus the management/delivery fee all charged per liter for the initial period of one year with an option of extension additional one year under the same terms and conditions subject to satisfactory performance, availability of funds and continuation of UNAMI mandate. The Contract is expected to be effective from 01 November 2018. 2.0 The price of the fuel will be based on the official rates established by the Erbil Fuel Distribution Directory to UNAMI which will be provided by UNAMI to the successful contractor accordingly. The management, transportation or delivery fee will be based on a fixed service charge per litre by the contractor to UNAMI. The projected/estimated quantity of required fuel for the compound and type of fuel are as follows: (a) Erbil ( Diesel) -540,000 Liters /Year (45,000 Liters per month) (b) Erbil (Gasoline)- 45,000 Liters /Year (3,750 Liters per month). 3.0 This contract will be awarded to the proposer that clearly demonstrates through a written proposal a high degree of experience, ability, competency and best-practice in these services. 4.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. In addition, the interested Companies will be requested to complete a UNAMI Vendor Registration Form (New Vendors Only). To obtain this form, please contact UNAMI as above. 5.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 6.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for ITB document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
