Consultancy Services to Complete a Strategic Overview, Assessment and Capability Analysis of the Strategic Deployment Stocks (SDS)

It is anticipated that the Procurement Division of the United Nations will shortly be issuing a solicitation on the above subject. In this connection, the UN is requesting expressions of interest from qualified firms to engage the services of an External Logistics Consultancy firm to complete a strategic overview, assessment and capability analysis of the Strategic Deployment Stocks (SDS). An External Logistics Consultancy will review, assess and make recommendations on the activity and operations of SDS which will in turn, facilitate an authoritative, independent, credible and objective analysis of SDS so that it can adapt, refine and improve its operations and modus operandi in order to meet the changing and evolving nature of support of Field Missions and any other entity deemed necessary to support . The Consultant will cover all areas of activity from strategy through implementation. The Logistics Services Consultancy will be required to provide a wide range of strategic analytical services in logistics design and supply chain management, to deliver benchmarking advise and make recommendations that are practical, measurable and deliverable using the latest methodologies and up-to-date best practices, including warehouse design and construction, process improvement and process mapping, cost reduction, inventory management and development, continuous business improvement and network design and supply chain modeling, including software profiling and critical analytical process.
