Description
The United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) seeks expression of interest (EOI) from reputed water supply companies to provide bulk water both regularly/routinely, as well as on an intermittent basis to its facilities throughout Haiti. MINUJUSTH locations include civilian office and accommodation facilities, Formed Police Unit (FPU) camps and UN Police (UNPOL) co-locations. MINUJUSTH requires that bulk water supplied under this contract: 1. Conforms with basic, acceptable quality standards for human uses and controls will be required during the implementation of the contract. 2. Meets UN water supply scales in respect of office and living accommodation, as will apply on a case-by-case basis. 3. Will be provided inclusive of all expenses (e.g. transportation, labour, fuel, maintenance, etc.). Services will be called upon on a Task Order basis. These services will be required throughout MINUJUSTH’s five regions of operation: Port au Prince, North (Cap Haitien), Artibonite (Gonaives), Grand Anse (Jeremie), Nippes (Miragoane). The detailed scope of requirements will be provided in the UN's Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be emailed to all vendors responding to this EOI, in consideration of the conditions listed below The UN is seeking an experienced contractor to provide the range of services, described above, in MINUJUSTH’s area of operations across Haiti. The experience of the vendor shall be demonstrated by means of evidence/proof of similar services, successfully implemented by the vendor, in the recent past and preferably in a similar working environment. The vendor shall be required to develop, manage and execute the works and to provide all the necessary personnel, supervision, tools, plant and equipment, materials, consumables, supplies, facilities, transportation, personnel travel, administration, insurance and all other costs required to fulfill all their obligations. The contract approach will be based on a comprehensive, all inclusive, transparent contractual pricing structure to enable flexibility as to the scale, scope, timing and location for implementation, owing to the inherent uncertainties of the Mission’s operational environment. To guarantee delivery in accordance with scope of requirements, the vendor shall be required to provide qualified professional engineering and technical personnel with demonstrated relevant experience. The UN will only contract the services of the contractor(s) who have a clear understanding, capacity and proven experience to handle contracts of this nature. At the UN's discretion the resulting contract may be split by region.
