Report Writer for Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) meeting
Purpose of the Consultancy
The Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) is looking for a meeting report writer for the Third Meeting of the Regional Working Group on Immunization for Gavi-supported Countries in the Western Pacific to be held from 13 to 15 February 2018 in Manila, Philippines.
Background
The Regional Working Group (RWG) meeting will serve as a strategic opportunity to review progress on implementation of coordinated work plan 2017 for Gavi-supported countries in the Region towards achieving regional and global immunization goals. During the meeting, partners will also discuss and agree on their roles in coordinated work plan 2018 of Gavi-supported countries which are at different stages of transitioning from Gavi support to self-financing and risk mitigation planning.
Under the guidance of EPI/WPRO team responsible officers, the contractual partner will: Participate in the meeting and take notes of each session discussions Prepare zero draft meeting report by 20 February 2018 to share with meeting participants Incorporate inputs received from meeting participants Prepare final draft meeting report and submit by 12 March 2018.

*Note: During the period, the consultant is expected to work for 10 days only (5 days in-country and 5 days remotely.)
Work to be performed
Method(s) to carry out the activity
The contractual partner will participate in the meeting and take notes of each session. At the end of the each day, he/she will brief the EPI/WPRO Team on the meeting notes to ensure completeness and accuracy of the notes and summaries. At the end of the meeting, zero draft meeting report including summary of each session with key messages and recommendations should be shared with EPI/WPRO Team.
The subsequent finalization of the meeting report with inputs from the meeting participants does not require the selected candidate to be in Manila, Philippines per se, but working remotely with close communication with EPI/WPRO Team is necessary.
Output/s Output 1: Prepare the draft report based on session notes including key messages and recommendations.

Deliverable 1.1: Prepare zero draft meeting report by 20 February 2018 to share with meeting participants.
Output 2: To incorporate comments received from participants and inputs from the EPI/WPRO team for the draft report.
Deliverable 2.1: Prepare the final draft of RWG meeting report by 12 March 2018

Specific requirements
- Qualifications required: University degree, preferably in medicine or public health or social sciences.
- Experience required: At least 7 years of experience in developing or/and publishing country or regional reports in the field of public health or social science.
- Skills / Technical skills and knowledge: The selected candidate should have very good writing skills, indicated by publications and prior experiences with drafting meeting reports.
- Language requirements: Proficiency in written and spoken English

Place of assignment
The selected candidate will perform this assignment both with in-country mission (5 days in Manila) and remotely (5 days based on his/her residence). Therefore, this requires travel to Manila, Philippines.
Medical clearance
The selected Consultant will be expected to provide a medical certificate of fitness for work. — N/A

Purpose: To attend the Third Meeting of the Regional Working Group on Immunization for Gavi-supported Countries in the Western Pacific.
All travel arrangements will be made by WHO – WHO will not be responsible for tickets purchased by the Consultant without the express, prior authorization of WHO. While on mission under the terms of this consultancy, the Consultant will receive subsistence allowance. Visas requirements: it is the consultant’s responsibility to fulfil visa requirements and ask for visa support letter(s) if needed.
