Description
UNSOS has a requirement for Inland Transportation services, to be provided within Kenya, Somalia, Puntland, Somaliland, Djibouti, Uganda, Burundi and Ethiopia. The intent is to identify suitable Contractors who will undertake full responsibility for all aspects of UNSOS’s movements, using multi-modal transportation as necessary to best serve the requirements of a given moment. The services will be provided to various UNSOS locations and other nominated delivery points. All Services will be provided on an ‘as and when’ required basis.. UNSOS is seeking qualified logistics and transportation companies with international and national networks to provide services for Sea and inland movement of cargo that include, but are not limited to, UN-owned equipment, donor vehicles and equipment and national contingent equipment/materials, African Union equipment/material, to support UNSOS clients’ operational requirements. UNSOS intends to enter into a 3 Year Firm Fixed-Price Contract with an option to renew for another 1 + 1 year with a suitable air operator / Logistics / Freight forwarding company(ies) (hereinafter referred to as “Contractor”), acting on behalf of UNSOS to provide all required services for collection, expediting and delivery of inbound and outbound predominantly Air transported cargo from the point of entry/exit to final destination. In order to choose the number of vendors to be awarded per route, the extra administrative cost for the UN of handling multiple contracts would also be considered. . Interested companies must complete the Vendor Response Form and Return it to the attention of UNSOS Chief Procurement Officer no later than 04:00 PM Nairobi local time on 19 September 2017, via (a) e-mail as PDF attachment to unsoa-procurement@un.org; consalvo@un.org. 2. Vendor Response Forms must be completed in full and supported by the requested information providing the evidence of the company’s ability to satisfy UNSOS’s requirement. The UNSOS reserves the right to reject Expressions of Interest documents that are incomplete, or are received after the stated deadline.
