Provision of DSTV Services throughout Somalia (SA)

The United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS), is seeking qualified Vendors to carry out DSTV installation, replacement of infrastructure and management of subscription accounts. This is by provision of sufficient staff to ensure DSTV service to UN personnel in accordance with international standards. The Vendor shall be responsible for supply of infrastructure, installation, replacement, management of DSTV within UNSOS mission area with most of the accounts currently being within Mogadishu International Airport (MIA). However, the other current areas are Baidoa, Beletweyne, Kismayao, Dhobley, Jowahar, Hargysa and Garowe. The aim is to solicit bids to establish a Local System Contract(s) which shall be for a maximum period of five (5) years on a 3+2 basis; i.e., an initial period of three (3) years with an option to extend one (1) additional two (2) years period. UNSOS shall pay for the provision of DSTV installation, replacement of infrastructure and management of subscription accounts and provision of two staff for UN personnel using DSTV services, and all other costs required to fulfil all its contractual obligations in offering DSTV services to UNSOS. For this requirement, UNSOS will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and considers inviting those companies which will have expressed their interest and provided initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNSOS’s requirement. Please note, this is NOT an invitation for submission of a price proposal. The prospective vendor shall come up with an installation design that shall consider the harsh climatic condition in Mogadishu and aesthetic value. The vendor will be expected to carry out a site survey and come up with the list of equipment and accessories required which will be provided by UNSOS. The vendor shall perform site surveys at no cost to the mission for all new installations.
