Provision of Digital Printing Systems (DPS) Services for UNOG Printing Section.

The UNOG expects to follow this EOI with a Solicitation exercise for a DPS that will be able to meet the operational requirements of UNOG. A cost-effective solution tailored to UNOG Printing Section’s specific needs is required including job management, black and white digital printing, colour digital printing, binding and other print-finishing options based on the following production areas: - Lot 1 – 30 million black and white prints per year. A4, 75g/m2 recycled paper, on-line stitching. During production a proof copy must be able to be taken from the delivery without interrupting production. It is imperative that the on-line stitching requested above is equal to the speed of the print engine. 20% of the 30 million are up to 2 pages No staples Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish No staples Arabic 45% of the 30 million are 3 pages to 10 pages One staples on top left or right hand edge. 20% of the 30 million are 11 pages to 20 pages Two staples on left or right hand edge. 10% of the 30 million are 21 pages to 200 pages Two staples on left or right hand edge. 5% of the 30 million are A4+, 75g/m2 – 300g/m2 High-pile delivery for unbound blocks with long edge offset. Interposer for insertion of pre-printed sections. • Lot 2 – 10-15 million black and white prints per year. A4, A4+1, A3, A3+2, 75g/m2 – 320g/m2 recycled products 25% Booklet maker for centre stitch, fold and trim, from 2 sheets upwards, 75-80g/m2. 75% High-capacity output for unbound blocks with long edge offset. Interposer for insertion of pre-printed sections. • Lot 3 - 2-3 million colour prints per year. A4, A4+1, A3, A3+2, 80g/m2 – 300g/m2 recycled products 25% Booklet maker for centre stitch, fold and trim, from 2 sheets upwards, 75-80g/m2. 75% High-capacity output for unbound blocks with long edge offset.
