Skill-Gap Analysis Consultancy

 

The consultant is expected to perform the following tasks:

  1. Develop a methodology for conducting the skill-gap analysis in consultation with staff, staff association, senior management and regional advisors.
  2. Identifying particular skills relevant to the region, including the expected level of mastery.
  3. Identify the degree of mastery of these skills per level and professional category / functional area
  4. Review of relevant documentation/literature  including the Regional Office Management Plan, Strategic Plan, any UNICEF previous skills gap analysis and the work of other UN agencies.
  5. Define the method of assessing / measuring the existing level of these skills for this particular analysis milestones and timeframes for implementation
  6. Carry out and implement the skills assessment among the identified professional categories and functional areas
  7. Qualitative and quantitative gap analysis by professional category and functional area showing the current level of skills and proposed level
  8. Propose development / training activities to bridge the gap
  9. Presenting the findings to a defined group of stakeholders, either during the regular regional management team meeting or to the regional HR development committee
  10. Propose how to integrate the assessment of the identified skills into the regular HR activities, such as recruitment, talent mapping, etc.
  11. Develop MENA learning Strategy
