Description
1. The UNPD Regional Procurement Office, intends to undertake a solicitation on behalf of the United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei (UNISFA), seeks Expressions of Interest [EOI] from qualified, duly registered and licensed companies for establishment of a Contract, for the provision of catering concession services to the United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei (UNISFA) in Kadugli, Sudan. 2. The required catering services, encompass the provision of catering concession services for National Monitors of the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan, Military & Civilian, International and National Staff at Kadugli, Sudan. The Mission will pay only the cost of feeding National Monitors three buffet meals a day, based on a monthly invoice. All other staff will be provided meals on a ‘pay as you go’ basis. 3. The vendor shall provide all food and beverages including freshly baked products and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables procured either locally from local markets, or imported from international markets. The contractor shall provide full service operations required for the preparation and service of three meals per day. 4. The vendor will provide two separate buffet menus; one for the National Monitors and other for the UN international and national staff, and will provide separate rates for these in the Financial Proposal. The Contractor shall be also provide A la carte menu. 5. The services shall accommodate special dietary requirements eg. vegetarian, diabetic, kosher, halal and allergies and shall be provided in conformance with international standards governing food quality and safety, storage, preparation, hygiene and service. Services shall also take into consideration the various ethnic and religious dietary requirements of the UN’s multicultural workforce. 6. The proposed term of Contract(s) shall be for an initial two (2) years period with an option to extend for three (3) additional one (1) year successive periods (2+1+1+1), at the sole discretion of the UN, to extend under the same terms and conditions and at the same prices as agreed by the UN and the successful vendor(s). 7. The UN reserves the right to split the contract award amongst multiple suppliers / service provider(s) and any resulting Contract(s) shall be non-exclusive. 8. Companies interested in being considered for shortlisting for receipt of the UNPD/RPO solicitation document are requested to submit a clearly written Expression of Interest therein specifying the company's profile, as per Vendor Response Form attached hereunder providing: 8.1 Address, contact person, active telephone numbers as well as functional e-mail contacts; 8.2 Company’s registration ID number (if already registered with UN) and UNGM registration number (www.ungm.org). 8.3 Company must be registered in UNGM atleast at Level 1 in order to be considered to participate in this UN solicitation. 8.4 Confirm the company’s capability to provide these services to OSASG within Burundi; and 8.5 Indicate commitment that if the solicitaion is issued, the company is ready to offer its services by the set bid close date and a copy of this included as part of the Technical Evaluation submission. 9. Note that companies that have previously submitted EOIs for similar services with the UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above. 10. Please note, this is NOT an invitation for submission of proposal. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued. 11. A detailed Scope of Work (SOW) with technical requirement, estimates required as well as expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN's Request for Proposal (RFP) which will be sent out to all qualified companies / vendors shortlisted for receipt of official UNPD/RPO solicitation. 12. The UNPD/RPO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider qualified firms including that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill UNPD/RPO’s requirement. No further details can be made available prior to the issuance of the RFP as this stage is only to identify interested and qaulifying vendors for this requirement. 13. The UNPD/RPO reserves the right to change or cancel the requirements at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this EOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued or award thereafter. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. 14. Interested vendors must complete and submit page 4 (Vendor Response Form) of this EOI document by email indicating the EOI Number in the subject. At this stage, please do not submit any additonal information and no questions will be answered. 15.
