Purchase of IT Equipment for 22 schools in Mozambique
United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:
The equipment is going to be used in Mozambique in the framework of a UNESCO project called "ICT Transforming Education in Africa." It is a 3-year project launched in 2015 to foster human and social development in Mozambique, through the use of information and communication technology (ICT), in particular mobile learning. One of the components of the project in Mozambique, foresees piloting an e-school model in 1 primary and 1 secondary school for each of the 11 provinces in Mozambique (including Maputo city), for a total of 22 schools across the country. The purpose is to test innovative uses of ICT for education aimed at aligning students’ competences with the new curriculum. This procurement exercise is going to provide the necessary equipment to the 22 pilot schools. There are two types of configurations for the procurement:
- Configuration 1: laptops, 3G/4G wireless routers, projectors, automatic voltage regulators, external speakers, and tripod screens.
Alternatively,
- Configuration 2: laptops, 3G/4G wireless routers, TV screens, HDMI cables and splitters.
The choice of the configuration to be purchased will be made on the basis of costs.
