Rub-Halls in support to National Elections Commission

 

The amendments of KRT/ ITB /ESP/09/011 are as follows:

 

A.INTRODUCTORY PROVISIONS:

 

I. The closing date is extended to 28 June 2009.

 

B. Questions and Answers

 

The following section addresses all the Questions received until Monday 15 June, 2009

 

1.     Annex VI Technical Specifications refers to “Aluminium arches (typical) scheduled each 4,572 mm c/c and well supported as per attached drawings”.

 

R: No drawings will be provided.

 

2.     I especially ask to consider if 36 units each in size10 x 36 meter can be an option to requested 24 units each 15 x 36 meter.

R: The specification are minimum, therefore it is the company prerogative to offer the solution that meets or exceeds our minimum requirements following the principle of best value for money, and the company has to include proof of quality of the product, such as ISO certifications.

 

3.     Place: Airport Khartoum, Sudan. CIF:: Does this mean you want delivery at the destination-Airport Khartoum OR Does this mean that you want the goods to be sent BY AIR on CIF terms to the Khartoum airport?

R: Delivery at the KRT Airport. Not sent by Air

 

4.     Goods required at the latest by end of July 2009 :: Are you acceptable to deliveries beyond this date? We shall be providing staggered delivery.

R: It is acceptable, we are reviewing the delivery time, so you might offer the best delivery time.

 

5.     Request for Erection, Assembling and civil works/leveling. The RUB HALL we supply come with a USER FRIENDLY MANUAL for self assembly. Besides all field-volunteers are mostly well versed with erection of the hall. Hence are you open to accepting offers without services of erection, assembly and civil works?

R: At this point of time we are only quoting for the Rub-Hall, but as soon as the sites are identified we will request quotations for this part. But the companies might quote in a separate quotation the services mentioned as an additional package.

 

C. All the other terms and conditions of ITB remain same.
