PROVISION OF HIGH END WIDE RACKS

DFS/UNLB requires the establishment of a system contract for the acquisitioning of approximately 600 High End Wide Racks and associated accessories throughout a three year period. The estimated not-to-exceed (NTE) amount of the contract is estimated at US$ 3,000,000.00 for the maximum duration of the contract (three years). The Racks should be capable of hosting different IT equipment, ranging from last generation Blade Servers to simple patch panels including any other system required to support the Telecommunication Systems operated by the United Nations Logistics Base in Brindisi (Italy). Racks will require double (A+B) power distribution system units (PDU’s) of 240 Volts single or three phase convertible, capable of handling 32 Amp, and should include power monitoring option and other monitoring systems. Vertical and horizontal cable management systems should be available. Racks should have an earthing kit composed by a low resistance vertical copper bar, the related clamps and all the cables to ground the IT equipment to be installed, as well as all the rack components, (Doors, panels, frame components, floor and top covers) in order to provide the best EMI shielding protection. Racks shall be easy to assemble, designed for heat dissipation according the modern data centre standards and requirements. Racks shall be delivered partially assembled, and will be customized at UNLB according to the needs of any particular IT equipment.
