PROVISION OF UNARMED SECURITY SERVICES

1 The United Nations Mission for Central Africa Republic and Chad (MINURCAT) has a requirement for the provision of Unarmed Security Services at various offices and facilities located in N’djamena and in the eastern CHAD (Abeche, Goz Beida, Farchana, Iriba, Guereda, Bahai etc.) and Birao in Central African Republic. The services required are of high standard quality. The full scope of requirements will be distributed in a Request for Proposal. It is anticipated that the contract which will result from this exercise will start in September 2009 for one year with option to renew for two additional one year periods. 2 Expression of Interest (EOI) must include the company information and its previous experiences, the size and type of contracts for security services rendered specially for the United Nations or governmental / commercial entities. The certificate of registration with the local authorities will be a requirement at the time of award. 3 MINURCAT will examine the outcome of this request for the Expression of Interest and will consider inviting those vendors who had expressed their interest by submitting all the required information, and/ or retain the information in UN vendor roster. MINUR .63. 4/.,m,.serves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding, and submitting expression of interest would not automatically warrant participation in the competitive bidding. 4 Interested firms already registered with the UN should submit their EOI to the attention of The Chief Procurement Officer, MINURCAT.
