1.0. United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) intends to solicit bids for Provision of Supply and Installation of Customized Accommodation Furniture and Electrical Appliances for 79 Accommodations (approx. 35 m2 each) located in UNAMI premises in Baghdad (Green Zone), Iraq. The projected items for each accommodation include: a) Bedroom furniture set (bed with headboard, mattress, chest of drawers, chair, writing table), b) Bedding set (duvet, pillows, bedsheets, towels, covers/cases); c) Living room furniture set (1-seat sofa, 2-seat sofa, coffee table, TV stand, bar stools); d) Electrical appliances set (LED TV 40", refrigerator 300L, electric cooker, smoke extractor, microwave, bedside and floor standing lamps) and e) Accessories set (curtains with rods, cloth hangers etc). In this connection, a list with detailed generic specifications will be provided as a part of the tender which will also include a provision for mandatory site survey in order to familiarize with the specific conditions of the site and the accommodations. 1.0.2 This contract will be awarded to the proposer that clearly demonstrates through a written proposal a high degree of experience, ability, competency and best-practice in these services. 1.0.3 UNAMI currently has 79 Accomodations to furnish with customized furniture and electrical aplliances. The Contractor shall provide the labor for the installation of the customized furnitures and electrical apliances located at the UNAMI Interim Accommodation Facilities in the Green Zone -Baghdad-Iraq. 1.0.4 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI’s requirement. 1.0.5 A MANDATORY SITE VISIT to the location (UNAMI premises in GZ, Baghdad) may will be required by the vendor prior to bid submission, which will be scheduled by UNAMI and anounced in the Tender document. 2.0 The solicitation will be based on a detailed Statement of Works, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender. 3.0 Please note on the following: • This EOI is not an invitation to submit a bid/proposal. • UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for RFQ document. • UNAMI reserves the right to reject EOIs received after the above deadline.
