ITU Telecom World 2009 is anticipated to take place from 5 to 9 October 2009 at Palexpo, Geneva, Switzerland.

ITU Telecom World 2009 is a world class event and a significant event in the ITU calendar and attracts a wide range of stakeholders in the ICT community. The proposed audiovisual solutions must be appropriate for the seniority and high profile nature of ITU Telecom World 2009.

This Call of Bids includes separate items for audiovisual services, webcasting and interpretation services. Each Bidder can bid for individual items or the full range of the services. The scope of the projects is fully described in the “Terms of Reference”.

The ITU will look for synergies with those companies that Bid for a bundle of services. Where a company Bids for one or two service(s) only the management costs of co-ordination with the other service providers must be included in the Bid.

The ITU expects full use of the internet and web2.0 solutions to be integrated into the provision of audiovisual services and the distribution of the material.

ITU expects to leverage the audiovisual/webcasting service to create innovative sponsorship packages, for example by leveraging the media opportunities that have been created for ITU Telecom World 2009 with the webcasting. All Bidders should provide detail on how their solutions to this Call for Bids can create new sponsorship opportunities and the role they expect to take in realizing these sponsorship opportunities.
